DIARY: Sarah’s tragic tale of toilet trouble just isn’t what we call good PR

It’s amazing what those PR girls at Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper will do to take media attention away from the agen-cy’s creative director, Mark Wnek.

It’s amazing what those PR girls at Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper will do

to take media attention away from the agen-cy’s creative director, Mark

Wnek.

The agency’s PR manager, Sarah Pollard went well beyond the call of duty

when she decided to tell the Daily Mail about her irritable bowel

syndrome.

Underneath a big picture of Sarah is a frank account of her toilet

habits and how they are linked to the serial infidelities of an

unpleasant sounding chap called ’Chris’.

The piece finished on a particular high as Sarah chirped: ’The best cure

for IBS is not just pills or treatments but a lovely boyfriend. Having a

decent man is the best health insurance possible.’

Has the woman no shame? What makes her think that anyone, other than

perhaps her mother, cares less that the wonderful Simon has seen her

kiss goodbye to ’the bloated stomach’, ’the cramps’ and ’the frequent

trips to the loo’?
