Diary: Scamp stops bitching as Veksner lays blog to rest

Let's shed a collective tear for the passing of Scamp. Bartle Bogle Hegarty's Simon Veksner has taken leave of his much-loved industry blog after three years. Apparently, he's concentrating his efforts on writing a novel instead, controversially not set in adland.

Damn that novel-writing dream that almost all creatives seem to nurture. It pulls them away from far more important pastimes, such as public bitching.

And Veksner can be very proud of Scamp, which countless adlanders have confessed to not being able to live without. We can only hope that someone else takes up his mantle.
