Francesca Newland thinks Bates Singapore's spot for Nokia is rubbish: "So Nokia finally gets its flip-top phone to market. It's an important launch and has been backed with a huge media spend, but what do we get but a meaningless TV ad in almost every break? The agency has forgotten to include a creative idea. Instead, we see a sequence of hideous people wearing grim wigs, set to a jarring 30s-inspired tune. Are we supposed to wish to emulate them? Thank heavens Nokia has added Lowe to its roster."
