Claire Beale picks on HHCL’s TV campaign for Amazon.co.uk: ’Before I saw this ad, I really liked the Amazon brand. In fact, like almost everyone I know, I’m a happy Amazon customer, which is just as well, because otherwise this heavy-handed, impenetrable and utterly irritating ad would have me running back into the arms of my nearest bricks-and-mortar bookstore. OK, the ad does a pretty good job of telling me what Amazon is all about, but it also does a fine job of disfiguring what was a fantastic brand.’
