DIARY: Turkey of the week

Eleanor Trickett picks on HHCL & Partners’ debut ad for Sure for Men: ’When I first saw this I was disappointed at how far downhill Bartle Bogle Hegarty’s fantastic Lynx campaign had hurtled. OK, I wasn’t paying attention: this not-quite-brazen-enough phallusfest is, in fact, for Sure. Considering the amount of sweaty woman-flesh on show, this ad is surprisingly underdone. The plot is confusing, and our hero’s reaction at the end needed to be explained by a press release. And it’s not just me - my sweaty female colleagues didn’t get it either.’
