Diary: Writing was on the wall for poor Bampton last week

One of the most unfortunate pieces of photography ever to grace the pages of an industry magazine appeared last week.

The picture in question, which was used to illustrate a MediaWeek feature, has poor old Nick Bampton, the otherwise shrewd and savvy managing director of Viacom Brand Solutions, posing in front of Camden Lock.

Neither the photographer nor any of the magazine's staff spotted an unfortunate occurrence regarding Bammo's body position and the writing on the bridge behind him.

This embarassing juxtaposition was exacerbated by the feature's introduction, which talks about Bampton's look being reminiscent of a young Paul Weller, while the caption underneath praises the coolness of his sales team.

None of which sounds that convincing when staring directly at the word "cock" in huge yellow letters.
