DIARY:

It seems it's not only creatives who enjoy playing with toys when they should be applying their minds to more pressing work matters.

After last week's news that BMP DDB has all manner of playthings lying around to entertain its staff, we hear that the wild and crazy solicitors down at the 9th Annual Advertising Law International meeting in Copenhagen are getting in on the act too.

Bugger sorting out the intricacies of a nightmare media merger - the real challenge these days for your up-and-coming media lawyer is, wait for it ... toy construction.

The centrepiece of the conference was an in-depth presentation on the worldwide launch of the new Lego robot toys. So while the rest of the world was hard at it, these canny delegates were, er, programming Lego robots to drop balls into a goal. A simple matter for most 12-year-olds, but quite a challenge for some of the learned delegates,

apparently.

We ask you, does anyone have to work for a living these days?
