Biggert Donald has won a place on the SmithKline Beecham roster,

picking up the Ribena and Lucozade sales promotion business.

The two brands were pitched separately, each time against four other

unnamed agencies. The Ribena win includes the ready-to-drink variant,

the traditional bottle brand, Ribena Tooth Kind and the flavoured

brands.

The agency will handle the main Lucozade Energy Original brand and the

low-calorie varieties. Flavours include fresh lemon, orange crush, mango

and passion fruit, and lemon and grapefruit.

The brief is to supply sales promotion material for the retail sector,

including selected forecourts and cash and carries. The pitches were run

out of Biggert Donald’s new London office, under the stewardship of

Ghill Donald, the company’s Glasgow-based creative director.

Donald said: ’Both brands are enduring British icons and the agency is

delighted to be part of perpetuating their success.’

The agency set up the London office in response to client demand. Donald

said: ’BD London and BD Scotland are intrinsically linked. The clients

say we have to run their accounts from London.’

Since its launch last September, the London office has grown to 27

staff.
