Brann London has poached two senior creatives from Joshua to work

across a number of accounts.

The copywriter, Jean Fox Robertson, and the art director, Ollie Butler,

join as part of a recruitment drive at Brann following a recent run of

new-business wins that includes the Labour Party and the Medical

Sickness Society.

The duo have spent just a year at Joshua, both joining through its

component agency, Grey Direct. They have worked on Toyota and Pedigree,

and were involved in the successful pitches for Cable & Wireless and

Nokia.

They became a team when Fox Robertson joined Grey Direct, having spent

two years at Anderson & Lembke and, before that, in agencies in the

US.

Butler spent three-and-a-half years at Grey Direct, and before that ran

a creative resource company. He started out in advertising at

Publicis.

Paul Kitcatt, Brann’s managing director, commented: ’They are young,

thrusting, dynamic and entertaining and want to take the world by the

scruff of the neck and shake it. We are very much in favour of putting

creatives in front of clients at Brann and their senior status means

that they will be entrusted with such relationships.’

Butler said: ’Brann London has all the drive and energy of a start-up

but with the backdrop of a more established network.’ Fox Robertson

added: ’Our ambition is to take direct marketing out of its rectangular

format.’

Kitcatt is expected to hire at least two more teams in the near future.
