The Teacher Training Agency has called a statutory review of its
pounds 4 million advertising and media accounts, currently held by
Delaney Lund Knox Warren and BJK&E Media.
The TTA, which aims to raise standards in schools by attracting new
teachers and through training, is obliged to call reviews every three
years. The agencies’ contracts expire next June.
The organisation has placed tender ads in various titles, including The
Guardian’s media section.
The tender invitation says the strategy will be to ’underpin the
Government’s vision for a modern, self-confident, well-supported and
well-rewarded profession’.
The TTA’s director of communications and marketing, Anna Campopino, who
joined the organisation three weeks ago, will oversee the tender
process.
She said: ’It’s a very open process. DLKW will have the same treatment
as everyone else.’
Delaney Fletcher Bozell won the account in 1997 after the TTA decided to
spend more of its pounds 10 million promotional budget on advertising.
