Resale app Letgo gives users four outrageous commercials to choose from when unloading their old junk
Who couldn’t use a little Madison Avenue sizzle when trying to sell that old futon or CD collection? Letgo, an app that connects amateur buyers and sellers, has teamed with CP+B Miami and production company Tool to create a new feature called the "Commercializer" that automatically generates commercials for users’ items. Now, Letgo members can upload a photo of the item they want to sell into one of four different ad templates: 80s action movie starring Dolph Lundgren, avante garde perfume ad, home shopping awkwardness and vaguely inappropriate pharmaceutical pitch. The app creates a shareable video that users can post online to attract more buyers (and more users for the app itself). A 60-second online promo video explains the process.
