Since joining Travelex from More Than this year, Grounsell has been building the brand’s digital marketing capacity and restructuring the global marketing teams into a single department. He is a big believer in social media, citing a career highlight as being one of the first marketers to invest in Facebook when at Capital One, transforming it from being a TV- and DM-centric brand into a sophisticated, digital-marketing operation. Grounsell makes no bones about the fact that he’s after the top job: "Would I like to be CEO? Absolutely. I’d much prefer to be CEO than CMO."
