Dooner lures WPP's HR supremo Brooks to succeed Kroeber

Brian Brooks, the chief human resources officer at WPP, has

accepted an offer to join rival holding company Interpublic as head of

human resources.

He succeeds Kent Kroeber, his counterpart at IPG, who retires shortly

after more than 30 years.

Brooks, 46, trained as a lawyer and is on the main board of WPP. He is

responsible for recruiting senior talent throughout the group and he

also masterminds incentive plans, career and succession planning. Brooks

came to Sir Martin Sorrell's attention when he worked as a consultant

for WPP at Towers Perrin, the HR specialist, in New York and London.
