ICI Paints has appointed Magdalena Teare as marketing director of its Dulux brand.
Teare joins the company after six months maternity leave. Prior to that she was at Procter & Gamble, where she was marketing director for Tampax in the UK and Ireland. Before P&G, she spent six years at Grand Metropolitan working on brands such as Croft, Tio Pepe and Haagen Dazs.
Teare takes over from Nicki Barton at ICI, who is moving into a strategic development role within the company. Teare will head up a 14-strong marketing department and will report to David Algar, general manager, decorative.
Algar said: "The role of marketing director is pivotal to our communications strategy, and we are delighted at the appointment of Teare."
