E-Type, the independent internet sales house, has scooped the

contract to sell advertising for the motorbike racing website MB4U.

A team of three sales executives - Kit Harvey, Victoria Parkin and Matt

Canon - are talking to major motorbike manufacturers, such as Suzuki and

Kawasaki, about banners, sponsorships and promotions on MB4U.

The site is a title sponsor of the British Superbike Championship and

will play host to the official websites of world superbike champion Carl

Fogarty and former world champion Barry Sheen.

MB4U includes rider memorabilia auctions, competitions, ticket

giveaways, race news and rider interviews.

Robert Gay, a director of E-Type, said: ’We won’t go out to potential

advertisers and say: ’we’ve got 20 sites, some of which target men’,

because that gets poor results and clients will not come back. Instead,

we’ll offer MB4U on its own to targeted advertisers.’

E-Type is part of the Media Initiatives Group, which also owns an

ambient media company of the same name, as well as Concourse Media,

which offers advertising on railway station concourses.

E-Type specialises in youth and sports websites. It also represents the

ISPs ClaraNET and FreeUK.
