The company is seeing credentials from several large direct marketing agencies next week ahead of a pitch.
Eaga, based in Newcastle, runs marketing programmes to support projects that deliver energy efficiency, home security and water efficiency. It was appointed by the Government in 1990 to administer the home efficiency scheme.
Eaga's previous marketing activity has focused on targeting customers with details of energy efficiency grants through advertising and direct marketing.
Last year, Eaga managed £275 million of grants on behalf of the Government, which also raises awareness of energy issues through the Energy Savings Trust.
Advertising activity by Eaga last year was handled by Yellow M with media through Media Insight. Ads used the line "Get a warm healthy glow all the year round" to support government grants for home insulation.
The Government's Energy Savings Trust initiative is supported by advertising through Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R. Its advertising has featured scenarios of energy appliances behaving badly to demonstrate the need to conserve energy.
Helen Cansick, Eaga's deputy head of corporate affairs, was unavailable for comment as Campaign went to press.
