EasyJet puts £50m ad task out to pitch

The low-cost airline easyJet is looking for an advertising network to handle its £50 million pan-European account.

The airline has previously relied on in-house creative, occasionally using outside suppliers on a project basis. In the past year, it has worked with The Bank and Sledge in the UK. Sledge created its first UK TV ad campaign.

However, the easyJet brand and marketing manager, David Maliveo, has decided the company should run consistent advertising across its main European territories and has asked the AAR to help it find a network to handle the task. EasyJet's media account, which is handled by OMD UK, will not be affected by the review.

Separately, easyGroup, which includes brands such as easyHotel and easyCruise, is looking for a media agency.
