Ebay boosts ad sales team with appointment of Rob Bassett

LONDON - EBay Advertising has appointed Rob Bassett to the new role of head of integrated partnerships.

Bassett will focus on working with advertisers on building campaigns around the eBay buying and selling experience.

He joins eBay from Titan Outdoor where he was group head of sales, and has also worked at Associated Northcliffe Digital where he was head of client sales, cross media and planning.

EBay’s sell to major advertisers, which already include Royal Mail and Mercedes-Benz, involves its ability to link brand campaigns to customers who are pre-disposed to buy and to provide demographic and transactional data to help drive campaigns.

Phillip Rinn, the director of advertising partnerships for UK, Ireland and EMEA, said: "Rob’s wealth of experience in the advertising sector and his firm understanding of the market are a great match for eBay Advertising."
