This ad heralds the launch of eBay's new brand campaign, "Fill your cart with colour".

The goal is to encourage shoppers to break away from "beige" conformity and live more colourfully. It is based on a study that found two in five Brits express themselves through the items they buy. As a result eBay is trying to urge people to celebrate individuality and self-expression by "shopping more vibrantly."
