EDITORIAL: Ann Francke's downfall is regrettable

Ann Francke's ousting as the Boots strategic marketing director after fewer than ten months has doubtless left her a bit older but considerably wiser. Calling such a massive pitch before the chief executive, Richard Baker, had even got his feet under the boardroom table now looks to have been a precipitate act that sealed her fate. But let's hope she bounces back soon. Champions of high creative standards within major companies are all too rare.
