Editorial: Bellwether reports things are looking up

More people are working in advertising than at any time since 1969, according to the latest IPA census. At that time, the then Boase Massimi Pollitt, the first of the "new wave" agencies, was just a year old and Saatchi & Saatchi had yet to open its doors. Too early to start singing "Happy days are here again", of course. However, the latest upbeat forecasts from the Advertising Association and the IPA's latest Bellwether Report suggest the corner has been turned.
