Because of their vertical rather than horizontal structures, agencies have traditionally been ill-equipped to provide the integrated thinking clients demand. But as the feature on page 30 suggests, it is one thing to create an agency workforce with broad knowledge, quite another to believe that jacks-of-all-trades are what clients want or need.
