Editorial: Death of the TV ad greatly exaggerated

Last week, the Disney chairman, Bob Iger, promised his company was coming up with alternatives to the 30-second spot. While sponsorships and product integration seem to be the order of the day at Disney, talk of the death of the spot is premature, unless adland can figure out how to build sophisticated brand values using only a brief shot of an actor swigging from a can.
