Golley Slater's switching of its HQ from Cardiff to London is a recognition of the capital's status as a talent magnet, and the place where the big marketing decisions are taken.

That's not to say the regional model is broken. Far from it. Out-of-London agencies have long offered an integrated service its capital counterparts are still coming to terms with. What's more, their knowledge of local markets is unrivalled.
