EDITORIAL: Recession gives Christmas cards value

Is it Campaign's imagination or is everybody sending fewer Christmas cards this year? If so then the recession hasn't been all bad. But before everybody reproaches us for being so mean-spirited, we should point out that we're not adopting a Scrooge mentality. It's just that we'd rather get one personal card from somebody with whom we have a regular professional relationship than a sack-full from companies we've never heard of taking the scattergun approach to the Christmas message.
