Editorial: Recession will test Bollore's credentials

Vincent Bollore, the Havas chairman, has never had greater reason to be thankful for his deep pockets.

Although the group's first-quarter revenue drop of 6 per cent was bad news, Bollore's personal fortune allows it to weather the economic storm better than most. Nevertheless, the coming months will be a testing time for him and, maybe, will show whether he is really committed to the communications business or if he is still a corporate raider at heart.
