EDITORIAL: Scope acclaims use of disabled actors

One in ten of the UK's population is disabled and disabled people have a combined estimated annual spending power of pounds 40 billion. But you'd have to look hard to see this reflected in most of the country's advertising. So full marks to Scope, the cerebral palsy charity, which last week honoured agencies that have gone out of their way to include the disabled in TV campaigns. The days when disabled people were merely token additions to a campaign have gone. And about time too.
