Editorial: Sense of deja vu over Asda account shift

Nobody doubts the switch of Asda's £75 million account out of Fallon into its SSF stablemate Saatchi & Saatchi was made for the most logical of reasons.

But you can't help smiling as history repeats itself. No sooner did Rick Bendel become the supermarket's marketing director than he switched the business from his former agency, Publicis, into Fallon. No sooner does Mark Sinnock quit Fallon to become Asda's marketing chief than the account is on the move again. Saatchis can only hope Asda isn't tempted to pinch one of Charlotte Street's finest.
