Emap Advertising has poached Theresa Coligan from Zenith Media to
take up the new post of magazine sales director.
Coligan, who is a press director and a managing partner at Zenith, has
worked at the agency for 11 years. She was the group account director
across Kingfisher’s media business.
Coligan is the final senior appointment made by Tom Toumazis, the
managing director of Emap Advertising. Coligan will report directly to
him and be responsible for a team of 140 people, working across a
portfolio of 40 consumer magazines.
She will work towards improving advertisers’ access to Emap’s magazine
portfolio and securing more advertising deals across the group.
Coligan commented: ’I have had a fantastic career at Zenith over the
past 11 years and genuinely never anticipated leaving but this
particular opportunity was simply too good to miss.’
Emap Advertising is the merged sales operation of Emap, bringing
together sales across all Emap’s magazine, TV, radio and new-media
brands to create a cross-media sales division. It opened for business in
April.
Toumazis said of Coligan’s appointment: ’This is a key role as part of
the senior management team. By combining the skills of agency, media and
brand experience, we have a strong management team that share a vision
and a drive to make Emap Advertising a great success.’
