EMAP Consumer Online has appointed internet advertising sales house, DoubleClick, to handle its online banner advertising and has moved the sales responsibility for sponsorship, customised sites and webvertorials into the sales operations of its print-based magazines.

Katarina Strupinska, publishing director at ECO, said: 'Our sites are now reaching the size and profile of audience which adds significant value to advertisers' print-based campaigns. By devolving responsibility for bespoke advertising to the magazine sales operations we can ensure that our advertisers' marketing objectives are serviced effectively.'

ECO publishes eight websites based on the company's most successful consumer magazine brands, such as FHM.

The FHM site recorded 6.9 million page impressions last month making it the UK's number one on-line magazine.
