Emap Radio to sign C5 Mother team for Yorkshire relaunch

Mother, the advertising ’dream team’ founded to launch Channel 5, has added a second client to its list just five weeks after opening its doors by winning a launch project for Emap Radio.

doors by winning a launch project for Emap Radio.



Magic AM, Yorkshire’s leading AM radio station, is being relaunched by

Emap Radio’s marketing director, Malcolm Cox, who was the client behind

the successful Kiss FM ’music is life’ campaign through Abbott Mead

Vickers BBDO.



Cox, who approached Mother himself, said: ’Mother’s quick-fire thoughts

convinced me that it could turn radio communications upside down.’



Mother will now be charged with developing a communications programme

for the launch. This will include TV and posters as well as aggressive

marketing techniques.



Robert Saville, the former joint creative director of GGT, who left in

December to set up Mother, said: ’This is exactly the kind of project we

set up to do. It is a good brief and a great client.’
