Emergency gas TV campaign launches

LONDON - A national TV campaign for the National Gas Emergency Service breaks today, advising people to call a dedicated hotline if they smell gas.

The campaign, created by Golley Slater, consists of a series of ads featuring several giant noses sniffing the air.

Andy Walton, managing director of Golley Slater Advertising, said: "The simplicity of the TV commercials will certainly stand out on TV in the Christmas and New Year sale season."

The main message of the campaign is to call the emergency gas number if the smell of gas is present.

The campaign will also break for the first time on large-format outdoor sites across North London at the end of December as well as online screen grabs.

The independent distribution networks of National Grid, Northern Gas and Wales and West are funding the campaign.
