Deutsch saw off J. Walter Thompson, Chicago, and Agency.Com, New York to win the account, which had been previously handled by Foote, Cone & Belding, Chicago.

Deutsch has been tasked with developing the brand and launching the Encyclopaedia Britannica's online service, Britannica.com.
