Endemol appoints Paul Johnson to branded content role

London - Endemol, the entertainment group behind shows such as Big Brother and Deal Or No Deal, has appointed Paul Johnson to the new role of global head of marketing and brand partnerships.

Johnson, who joins Endemol from Reed Midem, the organiser of the MIP TV events, will work across Endemol's companies to build their relationships with global brands in a bid to build its branded content activity.

He will be based at Endemol's office in London, reporting to Ynon Kreiz, the chairman and chief executive of Endemol Group.

Johnson will work alongside Marco Bassetti, the chief operating officer, and the chief commercial officer, Tom Toumazis.

He said: "Brand partnerships and branded content, combined with the funding of television, are the object of intense debate and I look forward to working with Endemol's worldwide group of companies."
