advertising account, which was previously held by J. Walter Thompson,

and is expected to appoint a new agency by the end of the month.

Hibernia Brands, which bought Entenmanns Cakes from Kraft Jacobs Suchard

last year, has shortlisted a number of smaller agencies to pitch for its

business.

JWT handled the Entenmanns brand when it was owned by Kraft Jacobs

Suchard.

The agency’s first work for Entenmanns went on air in April 1998 with a

moody black-and-white film based on the story of the cult 30s gangsters,

Bonnie and Clyde.

The ad is made up of a story, told by an old woman, who recalled the day

when Bonnie and Clyde pulled off a stupendous bank hold-up in her town.

She missed the action because she was staring at the Entenmann’s cakes

in the baker’s window.
