Euro RSCG and Carat win £10m Abbey net bank launch

– Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper and Carat have won the £10 million task of launching Abbey National's internet bank, codenamed Aquarius, following a competitive pitch.

Euro RSCG will handle the advertising while Carat will handle strategic planning and media buying. Euro RSCG already handles the bulk of Abbey's advertising business.

The two pitched against combined creative and media teams from Duckworth Finn Grubb Waters/Unity and Circus/Bridgeworks.

Euro will help to launch the bank in spring next year as a major rival to Prudential's Egg, Co-op's Smile and e-First.
