Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper has been appointed to create a $7 million [£4.75 million] launch advertising campaign for Netscalibur, a knowledge-based telecoms company offering Internet communication services to business across Europe. CIA has won the media account.
The campaign will be developed in Euro RSCG's London, Italian and German offices, as part of a $15 million marketing initiative to build Netscalibur's brand in its three main European markets, the UK, Germany and Italy.
The advertising, creative, media and publishing businesses will be a key target for the company. Netscalibur claims these industries have yet to feel the full benefit of online efficiencies, despite being early adopters of technology.
Francesco Caio, chief executive of Netscalibur, said: "Netscalibur is delighted to have CIA and Euro RSCG on the team. They will bring a valuable combination of creativity and experience to Netscalibur's campaign."
Brand consultants Wolff Olins developed the company's identity. Netscalibur's services include secure web hosting, virus free messaging and high-speed connectivity.
With a financial backing of $235 million, Netscalibur has acquired four companies in the UK, Italy and Germany, which will operate under a single brand. Across Europe, Netscalibur has 10,000 business customers and employs 350 people. It had a revenue base of $40m in 2000.
"We are delighted to be working with people of the calibre of the team at Netscalibur," said Brett Gosper, chief executive of Euro RSCG. "It is a great honour for Euro RSCG and our European agencies to be selected for the task and we're keen to get started."
