Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper has signalled its commitment to the growing

digital business arena with the creation of an interactive division in

its London office.

Euro RSCG Interaction will create digital solutions and communications

for both existing Euro RSCG clients and its own digital customers.

The division, comprising 25 staff, will be run by Anne Davis, who

previously worked on the Amazon and Palm Pilot accounts as an account

director at Banks Hoggins O’Shea/FCB. Davis will become director of

interactive at the new division. She will be joined by Nick Fletcher as

senior planner and Catherine Rohan as creative director. Both also move

from FCB.

Brett Gosper, the chief executive of Euro RSCG, said: ’I think we’re at

a critical-mass point with clients where it is important not to

over-promise. It’s a good time to announce to the world that we have a

strong offering in this area. It’s a window to a new world, which will

slowly become a wall.’

Davis denied that Euro RSCG has been slow to acknowledge the

significance of the developing digital arena in London and said: ’I

think some agencies have been a little late, but Euro RSCG Worldwide has

been involved in interactive for a long time. The London office has been

building up over the past few months.’

Euro RSCG, which has already created digital solutions for its clients

Intel and Iomega, intends to offer clients digital solutions across the

web, WAP and interactive television. Davis said of the current business

demands: ’At the moment, it’s web advertising and content, site design

and helping clients with digital strategy.’

The agency is in negotiations with an interactive TV company about the

possibility of a joint venture or strategic alliance, although both

Gosper and Davis refused to name the company.
