Bass Beers Worldwide has appointed Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper to handle
its Hooper’s Hooch brand internationally.
The agency, which has handled the UK account since 1996, will create a
core campaign that can be developed by Bass for export to various
markets in Europe, Asia and the US.
Bass plans to launch Hooch in the US later this year.
The move is part of Bass’s plans to centralise the marketing of all its
international drinks brands into the UK.
The company announced last October that it was talking to its UK
agencies with a view to creating a global roster for the first time.
Bass has previously used a number of small, local advertising agencies
in different countries.
Dominic Harrison, marketing director for Bass Beers Worldwide, said: ’I
am delighted to be bringing, through Euro RSCG, the international
thinking on Hooch into line with the UK.’
Brett Gosper, chief executive of Euro RSCG, added: ’After relaunching
the brand in this country, it is great to have the opportunity to
develop work for so many different markets.’
Bass appointed Euro RSCG to handle both Hooch and Grolsch two and a half
years ago, shortly after the agency resigned its Guinness business.
Earlier this year, Bass appointed Mustoe Merriman Herring Levy to
advertise several of its brands internationally.
