Euro RSCG, which is currently working with the ODPM on a below-the-line fire-prevention campaign, won the business after the ODPM asked its roster agencies to pitch at short notice earlier this month. Euro RSCG 4D picked up the online portion of the business.
It is understood that Euro RSCG was handed the account because the agency was considered best equipped to produce a live campaign within six weeks of pitching.
The agency's task will be to create an integrated campaign for a new ODPM initiative called e-Government. The scheme is based around websites that aim to make local government accessible online.
The ad campaign will focus on regional newspapers and poster sites.
The last piece of ODPM business, a campaign to launch its Home Information Packs, was awarded to Leo Burnett in July this year.
