Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper has been appointed to handle advertising for
BBC Magazines’ new women’s glossy, its biggest launch to date.
The agency pitched against Leagas Delaney to win the account for the
monthly title, codenamed Project Urma.
It will be backed by a spend of more than pounds 2 million during its
first year to more than match the wealth of upcoming women’s titles.
’Euro RSCG was appointed on the basis of its extremely accurate and
creative interpretation of the brief. Both agencies did a fantastic job
but Euro just pipped them at the post,’ Justine Southall, the publisher
of the title, said.
The BBC operates on a project-by-project basis. It is the first time
that Euro has worked with the BBC. Media for the new launch was awarded
to New PHD last month.
