The split came after creative disagreements with the publisher. The agency was appointed to the business in March, after a head-to-head pitch against Leagas Delaney. It represented the first time the agency had worked with the BBC, who make appointments on a project by project basis. Media planning and buying for the launch is handled by New PHD and is not affected by the move.

Eve, which carries the tagline, "The Original Woman", is the BBC's biggest magazine launch to date. The title debuts with its September issue, which hits news-stands in late August.

"It was an amicable parting of ways," said Eve publisher Justine Southall. "Their ultimate execution of the creative idea wasn't down the route we felt it should be. We felt we couldn't make it work and they felt they couldn't change it."
