The King of the Hell experience allows consumers to test out the Forza Nürburgring GP Circuit, also known as The Green Hell. Honda previously tested a pre-production model around the track with a lap time of seven minutes and 50.63 seconds, and is challenging fans of the brand to beat the time in the training simulator.

Lap times are being recorded on an online leaderboard. At the end of the 18-stop tour, the fastest racer will win a Type R model.

The experience was in situ at the Bullring in Birmingham last weekend (21-23 August) and will visit Carfest South in Hampshire on 28-30 August. The roadshow will continue until 1 November, visiting locations such as Epsom Downs Races, Festival Square in Edinburgh and Metro Shopping Centre in Newcastle.

Leon Brannan, head of cars for Honda UK, said: "The buzz is really starting to reach fever pitch now as we head closer to the extreme new Type R arriving in our UK dealerships. Knowing the commitment and passion of our Type R fans I know they’ll be ready to take on this challenge, so we look forward to seeing what they’ve got."
