Event TV: Jägermeister hosts music gig across air, sea and land

Jägermeister teamed up with Matt Tuck, lead singer of heavy metal band Bullet for My Valentine to deliver its latest Ice Cold Gig across three different locations.

The singer performed a three-part gig in Lyngsfjord, Norway – he was captured skydiving, on a speedboat, and husky sledding.

The clip opens with Tuck and his friends embarking on a 15,000ft ascent in a Eurocopter AS350 helicopter. He is seen free-falling from the helicopter, his canopy opening at 7,000ft.

He then takes to a Buster Magnum speedboat to continue the performance, and finally travels through the Norwegian alps with Siberian huskies.

In a nod to Jägermeister’s relationship with music, the performance ends with Tuck, the crew and his group of friends gathered inside a traditional Norwegian Sami, toasting with a shot of the spirit.

The brand expects that the footage of the event will reach 50 million consumers, through PR as well as social and digital platforms.

Nicole Goodwin, marketing director at Mast-Jaegermeister UK said: "Jägermeister’s Ice Cold Gigs get bigger with each new instalment. The unique blend of great music and ice-cold feats will engage our core 18-35 year old male audience and drive brand awareness.

"The Ice Cold Gig is a prominent feature of the JägerMusic programme, which supports emerging and established acts. This year we wanted to celebrate musicians giving back to the people who supported them from the very start; typically their best friends."

Jägermeister's Unearthed experience, which was housed in a purpose-built Jägerhaus and designed by agency Frukt, made its way around the UK festival circuit last summer.
