Everest seeks agency for branding drive

Everest, the home improvements company, is searching for an above-the-line agency to assist in a new phase of brand development.

The company will focus on brand initiatives, and a shortlist of agencies is being drawn up with the assistance of AAR. An appointment is anticipated by the end of November.

Everest has more than two million UK customers. The company was founded in 1965 and is best known in the UK for its double-glazed windows, doors and conservatories.

Duncan Bland, the marketing director at Everest, said: "Following the expansion of our product range, we need to improve saliency among consumers who may not appreciate how far the company has come. The British public should have a greater awareness of the variety of Everest products. We will be looking to exploit all necessary marketing and communications methods to do this."

In June, Everest appointed the direct response agency Equimedia in order to handle its £500,000 online customer acquisition programme.

Initiative Media, which handles Everest's media planning and buying, remains unaffected by this review.
