Paterson will take over control of the agency's creative department from the CHI co-founder Charles Inge. Inge's new role will be to oversee the entire creative output of the CHI group.
Paterson will move to CHI early in the new year, after serving his notice period at BBH. He joined BBH in October 2004 to take responsibility for the Boddingtons, Castlemaine XXXX and Flora accounts.
Previous to his time at BBH, Paterson spent nine years working at the then BMP DDB. He rose to the position of joint creative director alongside Jeremy Craigen, with whom he shared the 2004 Cannes Press Grand Prix for the "cops" ad for Volkswagen.
