Fallon has picked up the pounds 10 million account for the European

internet bank First-e, following a three-way pitch.

The agency beat Malcolm Moore Deakin Blayze to the account after Delaney

Lund Knox Warren pulled out of the pitch at an earlier stage. First-e

parted company with J. Walter Thompson last month, less than a year

after the agency was appointed to the launch task.

Fallon will create a TV branding campaign for the bank that will break

by the end of the year. Its task is to reposition the company, which has

ambitious plans to become a global internet banking operation. When

First-e launched last year, it was one of the first companies to pioneer

banking online.

Fallon’s brief will be to establish a clear proposition for the site in

a crowded market.

First-e announced plans to merge with Uno-e, the Spanish online bank

being formed by Terra Networks and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria. The

new company will be called the Unofirst Group, but First-e will trade

under its existing name.
