Fallon posters and press campaign to push Skoda sports

Fallon is promoting the new Skoda sports model, the Octavia RS,

with a national press and poster campaign.

The campaign, in line with previous Skoda work, aims to challenge the

preconceptions of the brand, while aiming to detail points of the car

which might surprise consumers.

The ad shows a moody image of the Octavia RS with a strapline reading "A

fiver says it is" and the Skoda logo.

It will run in men's lifestyle magazines such as Loaded and GQ and on

back-lit 48-sheet posters nationwide.

Chris Hawken, the head of marketing at Skoda UK, said: "The RS is a

fantastic car and this campaign allows us to continue to demonstrate the

breadth and strength of the Skoda model range."

The campaign builds on the TV brand work for the Octavia, which ran in

February. "Forensic" featured a forensic scientist piecing together

clues, yet with no idea of the car's make. "Transporter" featured a

lorry driver unloading Octavias, only to reload them upon seeing the

Skoda logo.

The press campaign was written by Ros Sinclair and art directed by Sean

Thompson, with photography by Blinkk. Media planning and buying is

through MediaCom.
