FCB Chicago to Acquire CM Partners

- Foote Cone & Belding Chicago, a subsidiary of True North Communications, has acquired the US direct response agency, CM Partners, for an undisclosed sum.

The Rolling Meadows, Illinois, based, full-service direct response agency, which has 70 employees, will be folded into FCB's existing structure.

The acquisition aims to reinforce the agency's commitment to providing its clients with superior brand-building capabilities across a full range of marketing disciplines.

Clive MacLean, formerly executive vice president and managing director of CM Partners, and Scott Grafft, who headed direct marketing at FCB, will become co-directors of FCB's Impact Direct resources.

Kris Land, formerly president of CM Partners, becomes director of integrated communications at FCB Chicago. Craig O'Keefe will continue to be director of FCB's Impact Promotions group.

CM Partners' clients include American Medical Association, Bally Fitness, Galileo, John Deere, LifeFitness, and Progressive Insurance.
