- Tony Douglas, chairman and regional director of Foote Cone & Belding Europe, has been made redundant after only eleven months in the job.
The matter has been handed over to his lawyers following a short meeting with FCB international president Harry Reid. Reid will assume Douglas' responsibilities.
The move is being seen as preparing for a merger of the FCB network with True North's other main agency network, Bozell Worldwide.
Douglas, previously chief executive of the Central Office of Information said: "I have been made redundant. And all I can say is that I am not happy at the way things have turned out." He left the COI two years into a three-year contract to take the position at FCB.
